The cedar is a plant native to tropical America. Rapidly growing evergreen tree, reaching up to 10-12 metres. The branches tend to lie horizontally or towards the ground, the leaves are lanceolate and rather rough to the touch. The Cedar reproduces thanks to seeds which are photosensitive, i.e. they require light to germinate. The plant is suitable for tropical climates and can survive even long periods of drought.
