Easy Travel Hosting was born with the idea of cleaning up the internet and making it eco-friendly. To do this we need your help, because only together can we create the spark that will give life to this revolution. Revolution in the way of thinking, in the way of acting, in the way of taking care of a planet that we have mistreated too much.
Today we want to do something more.
We want to give oxygen to our planet, nourish it, recreate the ideal habitat for flora and fauna that risk disappearing over time.
We are incredibly excited to announce our new initiative reforestation of the Guatemalan jungle!
HOW IT WORKS AND HOW I CAN PARTICIPATE
For each package purchased, a percentage will be donated to this cause.

Easy Travel Hosting always tries to give you the highest service while keeping costs as low as possible. With this initiative we want to take our philosophy to a step higher, and we can only do this thanks to you, who are reading these lines.
Adopting a tree is very simple, just select the option “Adopt a tree” when purchasing your hosting package. It's completely free, but it's a choice that makes the difference.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANTING THE TREES
For an initiative of this magnitude we turned to trusted people who have the cause of reforestation of the Guatemalan jungle at heart. People who have spent their lives in the area, who fight every day against the illegal felling of trees, against arson fires set during the dry season.

Finca Ixobel is an eco-hotel located south of the town of Poptun, in the Peten region of Guatemala. The word Finca in Spanish means “farm” o “agricultural company”.
Finca Ixobel was born in 1971, when Carole and Michael DeVine decided to purchase this plot of land and open a farm. Over the years the business has grown, but the respect for the environment and care for the Guatemalan forest has remained the same.
Carole, the owner, personally supervises the collection of new seeds and their sowing.
In addition to helping the local flora and fauna, the reforestation action helps create jobs and support Poptun's economy.
WHAT TREES ARE PLANTED
Finca Ixobel has two reforestation methodologies:
- Daily reforestation, using the seeds produced within the Finca itself
- Planned reforestation, in collaboration with Guatemalan government bodies
What does this mean? It means that the types of trees planted depend on the season and the availability of seeds.
The seeds that are regularly planted are:
- Chico Zapote. It produces a sap that was used to make rubber. It also produces a very sweet and very tasty fruit!
- Cedar
- Pino
- Fire tree. So called due to the spectacular color of the flowers, precisely fire-colored
- Gliricidia sepium or Madre de Cacao. Used for medicinal purposes
- Mango
- Zapote Mamey
- Rosewood
- Ramon or Maya Nut. It is possible to obtain a gluten-free flour
- Ceiba. The Guatemalan national tree
- Barillo (Santa Maria)
- Mahogany
- Tabebuia rosea. Produces beautiful pink flowers
WHEN CAN I SEE MY TREE

But we can't guarantee you a date. Nature takes its course, and we humans interfere with it too much.
Depending on the season, rain or drought, seed production may be abundant or lacking.
But one thing is certain: iYour tree will be planted and will grow thanks to the care of the expert staff of Finca Ixobel, who regularly cleans the area from weeds and other potential dangers for your tree.
Finca Ixobel will provide you with a “birth certificate” of the tree with the description of it, and a photograph of the planting or growth of the tree assigned to you. If you decide to visit Guatemala one day, why not go visit them and have them show you your tree?

Once your tree is planted, you will receive a certificate and a photo of the planting or of the shrub in the early stages of development. The certificate will be issued directly by Finca Ixobel.

Guatemala is a beautiful land, with lush nature but also a tormented, difficult and complex land. Over the years its beautiful forest and jungle have been plundered and heavily logged.
In addition to this, one of the founders of Easy Travel Hosting is of Guatemalan origins, and felt the need to do something for his homeland.

We are the founders of Easy Travel Hosting, ecological hosting for websites. This project started because we are both travelers and work remotely.
Over time (but not much) we realized how much this planet was becoming more polluted every day. At first we felt powerless to make any changes. Then we thought, why not start doing something starting from what we know?
Travel and the Internet. This was the spark that led us to develop Easy Travel Hosting. A platform managed in a professional but informal way, where our customers are treated like friends, and often actively participate in Easy Travel Hosting's projects, decisions and ideas.
