AFTER WHICH TRIP DID YOU DECIDE TO OPEN A BLOG?

It wasn't a real journey that pushed me towards the decision to open a blog, but rather the desire to invent a job for myself.

After a degree in Modern Literature and a Master's degree in Communication and Media Culture, I continued to receive job offers that were absolutely not convenient: entering the public sector seemed impossible and I continued to move forward between one internship and another.

One day, while I was looking for job adverts online, I ended up on an article explaining how to start a travel blog... I didn't think twice and said to myself "let's try it!".

Travel has always been part of my life: my dad is from Gaeta and my maternal grandfather was American. I've been traveling since I was two and a half months old and I've never been able to do without it!

Travel you eat was born from the idea of trying to do something more than that innate passion of mine: I decided to try to transform it into something useful for me, but also for others!

FOOD AND TRAVEL, AN ESSENTIAL COMBINATION FOR YOU?

Absolutely yes! Travel you eat was born precisely from this idea and... from my and Ste's greediness, my travel and life companion!

Through the food and typical products of a territory you can perceive the true soul of a territory, its traditions and also its history.

What is on the tables tells a lot about a place: this is why it is essential to taste traditional dishes when travelling!

Furthermore, food can often be the real reason for leaving: we have often chosen a destination for a food and wine event or a festival that particularly attracted us!

WHAT WOULD YOU ADVICE TO THOSE WHO WANT TO WORK AS A BLOGGER?

I don't feel capable of giving real advice yet: I still have a very long way to go!

What I can say is I have passion, costanza e patience. Results, in this as in many other fields, are difficult to achieve. If you are not driven by an ideal, by a real objective, you risk letting yourself be discouraged. Plus you have to study a lot and stay constantly updated.

There are those who think that travel blogger is not a real job, that what this role does is just travel and have fun: I can assure you that this is not the case. Bloggers who make this profession a profession work a lot between articles to write, social networks to follow, photos and videos to edit...

WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR TRIPS MORE ECOLOGICAL?

Traveling in an ecological way is not always easy: just think of how much planes and cars pollute when moving from one part of the planet to another...

What we do in our small way is be careful about waste: in the hotel we do not have sheets and towels changed daily and we do not behave differently from when we are at home (lights turned off when we leave and no waste of water); in cities we move on foot or by public transport (even if we arrive by car we always try to leave it in the car park); when we can we don't print tickets and use e-tickets to avoid wasting paper.

We are convinced that even small actions can make a difference!
