VAGABONDAINSIDE
Gloria's travels

Born in 1989, originally from Monselice, cheerful and determined with a huge passion for travel. VagabondaInside is the blog where Gloria collects her travels and her emotions.

Welcome to Easy Travel Hosting! Could you tell us a little about yourself and how your blog was born?

The blog was born by chance way back (almost 10 years ago) in 2015 when, upon returning from Australia, I needed to write down everything I felt, lived and felt. So I started writing as a diary.

Then I met a girl who worked as a Travel Blogger and over time she became my friend, she is now a great social media marketer and creator. From there I slowly began to study the "rules" of the world of Marketing, SEO and storytelling.

Vagabondainside has gone from a simple personal diary to a travel blog increasingly focused on sustainability and green.

We were struck by the fact that you have an article on Newcastle, a destination that is usually never considered on routes to England. Can you tell us why you chose it and your experience?

I actually came across it after living in the North of England. The family I was hosting with Helpx (help/accommodation exchange site) told me to stop for a few days in Newcastle, before returning to London.

What can I tell you? Well it has a lot of history and culture. Very particular and very much in Anglo-Saxon style (churches, squares, buildings) and a couple of days were not enough to visit it all calmly.

Suffice it to say that the oldest railway in Northern England started from there. It has a particular charm, it is very different from the London we all know. So much so that speaking here and there, many Londoners call it the London of the Near North. Beautiful, I recommend it!

On your site you have an extensive section that talks about ecology and means of transport: what is your favorite and most used means of transport?

I have to tell you the truth, the plane is my favorite, but I don't mind the train either. The latter is certainly the one I use a lot. From when I went to school, to trips, to travel.

Comfortable, practical and often reaches extinction by making me sit comfortably. And do we want to talk about sight? On the train you have the opportunity to slow down and look out the window and see things that you usually wouldn't see in a car. Unfortunately, it is a little used and well distributed medium in Italy. It would be a great alternative to many I suppose.

You have traveled to London and Paris, which one do you prefer and why?

Difficult question: difficult to choose because each of the two has a particular feature. Paris is class, it is European history close to Italy. On the other hand, London, a rigid monarchy, where a multitude of people from all over the world exchange. The peculiarity of their traveling on the left, the subway and particular places like Candem Town... how to dissolve!?

As you know, Easy Travel Hosting uses renewable and eco-sustainable energy to power its servers. Furthermore, a tree is planted for each new hosting, actively helping reforestation and the absorption of CO2. What do you think of this project and in general, do you think it is important to seek a more sustainable lifestyle?

I'm very happy! I'm happy to be part of Easy Travel!! It is an action that perhaps we should all do for those who use the internet or other sources of high pollution. We should remember how much every single element on this Earth gives us and how much we destroy it instead.

I think a little is enough, and that's what I try to convey in the blog: to be sustainable you start from your own mind and then from everything else. Let's also say that we are in a country of controversies, but one step at a time sustainability will be appreciated!
