WELCOME TO EASY TRAVEL HOSTING! YOU ARE A FAMILY THAT CAN NEVER STAND STILL, YOU HAVE VISITED SO MANY PLACES! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF?

Hi everyone, we're Toni & Mari, authors of the blog “Trip Family”, we have always traveled and the birth of our 2 children didn't stop us, on the contrary it made us want to leave even more.
Our dream anymore it's great to go around the world with Anita and Alfredo with a backpack on their shoulders and nothing more.

We believe seeing the world through the eyes of a child is one of the most beautiful experiences a parent can have, observing their amazement at the wonders of nature, seeing them play with their peers of different races and languages is priceless and we also think it is the best "school of life" a child can have.

It all started because in recent years we had noticed that many of our friends and acquaintances, great travelers like us, had become more "sedentary" at the birth of their children, full of doubts, fears and paranoia, basically totally discouraged at the mere thought of packing suitcases for a family of 3 – 4 people.

For this reason we decided to start this blog, we felt like sharing our experiences around the world and possibly giving advice and tips to those parents who like to travel but don't feel like doing it with children in tow, so dear parents, put your doubts and fears aside and leave with your children! We are certain that as adults they will thank you for the experiences and memories that will inevitably resurface in their minds.

TRAVELING BEFORE AND AFTER HAVING CHILDREN, HOW DOES TRAVEL CHANGE?

Honestly, once we leave there isn't that much of a difference, the difference can be in packing our bags before departure, even if in the end we travel light with only us parents' backpacks on our shoulders and the children a cabin trolley, so you have to know how to organize the spaces well.
Once on the road, however, we must honestly admit that it doesn't make much difference, in fact many of the beautiful experiences we had were done precisely because our children were there (like everything in which animals were involved) such as swimming alongside a whale shark in the Gulf of Mexico, riding at sunset on the dunes of Jericoacoara in Brazil, petting a cheetah in South Africa, ride a camel on the slopes of a volcano in Lanzarote or catch caimans at night with your bare hands in the Amazon.

We did all this and much more with our children, or rather thanks to them! (many things we would never have dreamed of doing) so there are certainly "cons" to traveling with children in tow, but at the moment they don't come to mind!!

YOU ARE AN ITALIAN/ESTONIAN COUPLE. HOW HAS THIS AFFECTED YOUR WAY OF TRAVELING AND THE DESTINATIONS YOU CHOSEN?

We parents love the sun, the sea and the heat, the Estonian mother (despite loving her country madly) at a certain point ran away for the simple reason that there are long, dark, cold winters (even reaching minus twenty degrees) and the father, for his part, would always live in shorts and sandals.
So as you can imagine, when we leave we prefer tropical, warm destinations, it doesn't matter in which continent as long as there is nice swimming in clear waters, beaches with palm trees, strange foods and animals and if there are some cities nearby to visit all the better, a bit like the last trip we took to Malaysia, where we managed to combine the fantastic sea of the Perhentian islands, the orangutans of the Borneo jungle and the metropolises of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
However, Estonia remains the first country that our children visit (Anita went there when she was one month old) since every year in the summer we go to visit their grandmother who lives in the woods for a month.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR TRIPS MORE ECOLOGICAL?

Well aware that intercontinental flights are a source of great pollution, when we leave, in our own small way, we try to do our utmost to pollute as little as possible, we only bring natural and biodegradable soaps with us, no shampoos or bubble baths, we get paper and cardboard packaging, avoiding plastic as much as possible and once on site we try as much as possible to interact with the small local businesses regarding food and excursions, always paying an eye to how they dispose of waste.

But above all, since we travel with our children we try to set an example, they will be the ones who will inherit this much-maligned planet, so we talk to them trying to make them understand how harmful the disposal of certain materials can be for planet earth, but we have realized that nothing educates better than a direct experience, nothing makes you understand better the level of pollution that has reached the sea when you find yourself snorkeling among plastic and unfortunately this has happened to us several times.
