Hi Ilaria, welcome to Easy Travel Hosting! Could you tell us what the One Way Trip is for you, and how did your blog adventure begin?
One way trip it was born as a bet: we wanted to see if we could change our lives by leaving our office jobs to create a lifestyle more similar to that of our dreams.
We really tried in 2017, setting off on a road trip across l’Asia, Which ended up being about five months before returning to Italy but which actually turned out to be a real one-way trip because it completely changed our lives.
In fact, since then we have managed to become digital nomads, working with writing, photography, marketing and programming, and we have a free lifestyle that allows us to travel as we please, coming and going from multiple one-way trips.
For example, now we are in Greece living on our own from camperizzato for the next three or four months.
The journey through photography, first a passion then transformed into a job: was it a natural process or did you face many difficulties?
The photograph for us it has always been a fundamental part of the journey. For me together with the writing it's the way I process the experiences I live and the adventures I face.
So it was natural to use these two tools as ways to tell our journey, before it even began, and start creating a brand around the concept of One-way trip.
Over time, both Marco and I have worked hard to find clients who would allow us to live our passions, and with that mix of luck and skill that only who dares can get, we managed to turn the dream into reality.
An itinerary that intrigues us a lot is the Trans-Mongolian route. Could you tell us about your experience?
The transmongolica for us it is a truly special journey. Both because it was the beginning of ours One-way trip, which started from Moscow along over 10,000 km of tracks to Beijing, and because in 2020, just before the pandemic, we did it again with a trip organized by us and a group of beautiful travellers, in winter.
It's a truly adventurous journey, especially if you do it in third class: you live for days and days in close contact with strangers, while the hypnotic landscape and fascinating steppe flows outside the window.
The Mongolia then it is one of the countries we love most and where we have had the most beautiful experiences of our lives, including living with the Mongolian nomads and, last year, participating in the beautiful eagle festival with another group trip.
What was your favorite destination you visited and why? And which one surprised you the most?
Probably Mongolia, both as your favorite destination and above all as the one that surprises you the most. This also in negative sense because it puts you to the test, but the kind of authentic experiences you can have in that country, which make you feel like the first explorer to set foot there, are priceless.
Lately I went on a solo trip to Panama and this country also entered my heart, because I had the opportunity to volunteer in the jungle and then to get to know the indigenous Guna population, creating a reportage of which I am very proud which can now be found on our website dedicated to travel photography, fotografinviaggio.it.

What do you think of this project and in general, do you think it is important to seek a more sustainable lifestyle?
I think it's a beautiful project, my recent time in the jungle helped me a lot to understand how this type of resource works and its importance also from a practical point of view.
I believe that those of us who live a nomadic lifestyle are somehow able to have less of an impact on the world, because we realize theimportance of minimalism: for example, living in a van we realize the incredible waste of water when we are at home, while here we learn to use very little, to live with very few objects, only the essential ones, and to travel more consciously.
