Welcome to Easy Travel Hosting! Could you tell us a little about yourself, how your blog was born and what it's about?
I am Simona, born in warm Calabria but now transplanted to fascinating Tuscany for over 20 years. Archaeologist by studies but with a talent for writing. From an early age, writing became the world in which I travel and make people travel.
Words are the glue between what I see, use or come into contact with, and whoever reads me. This is why I call myself a storyteller. I like to narrate and tell stories, I believe that the strength of the word inserted in a very specific context is to lead us to observe everything from multiple angles.
I am a very creative person and I like to surround myself with people who enrich me and who I can enrich.
My blog was born almost as a bet with a’ friend. I have always been a curious person, I have always liked talking to people and so I asked myself, why not combine my curious observation towards style in general and my greatest passion which is writing?
Why not suggest, hence the term 'Tips', a journey of interiority through exteriority, exploring different worlds such as fashion, new trends or lifestyles in general?
My blog therefore explores different themes using style models as a compass.
In your blog you often talk about Social Media and in particular Instagram. What relationship do you have with this App?
When I started my blog, I also created an Instagram and a Facebook profile both connected to it. I often talk about Social Media in my articles because it is a world that I experience very actively.
L’ Instagram App was born as a sharing of images and photos and then over time it evolved and like everything you need to know how to use it. I am of the opinion that this App has the power to make slices of life known, only if the profiles that gravitate are real.
I use the App as if it were a window into my daily world. I am myself, I don't wear masks and I show the different nuances that characterize my personality. To experience Instagram in a true way you must know it from all its different angles.
The relationship I have with this App is healthy because I know my goal, I know what's behind the Instagram world, I live this virtual world with awareness.
We read a very interesting article of yours about bringing out your most hidden, darkest side, through expressions of extroverted attitudes or looks. Could you tell us about it and tell us how your self relates to your aesthetic?
Each of us is a spokesperson for our own style but if we dig deeper we will find other styles that belong to us, only that sometimes they remain in the shadows, they are not visible.
Occasions, moments of life, states of mind are all variations that can highlight the most hidden side if you can recognize it. And it is precisely what, once expressed, gives us the knowledge of the other darkened side.
Knowing ourselves through what we wear, mastering our characteristics and showing them, leads to nothing other than having security and trust in us.
I have always considered my being linked to my aesthetics and it is important for me that they walk hand in hand. I am aware of the fact that every peculiarity that belongs to me has its own aesthetic expression that manifests itself when it finds the right opportunity, without hesitation.
Do you think that the world of fashion is moving in some way to try to pollute less and slow down the environmental degradation of the planet?
In my opinion yes. For a few years now I have been noticing much more commitment from fashion companies in safeguarding the environment. I noticed that many commercial and well-known brands have an area dedicated to clothing items that have an eco-sustainability certification.
These are garments with new natural fabrics for which production reduces CO2 emissions, the use of water and resorts to the use of clean energy, to the point of directly verifying the good conduct of the suppliers. So if we continue in this direction we will be able to reap good fruits without causing damage.
