Ciopilla's travels
On the road con Sabrina

Sabrina, Davide, Mattia and Ciopi backpackers, in search of the Italian food and wine tradition Ciopilla's travels it's the blog where they talk about their travels, always with a camera around their neck.

Welcome to Easy Travel Hosting! I Viaggi di Ciopilla, could you tell us a little about your blog, starting by explaining the name?

Hi Easy Travel Hosting, thanks for the invitation. It's a pleasure to be here!

We are Sabrina and Davide, a couple in life and with a passion for travel that we love to share with Mattia and Sofia, our children. We opened the blog Ciopilla's travels in May 2013, actually choosing a rather strange name but which was intended to be a reference between the cry emitted by the sea monster Godzilla and Sofia's nickname, namely Ciopi.

A choice of belly and heart as are ultimately the travel itineraries that we choose from time to time and which follow the countless passions in common. We are great walkers and we prefer the tranquility of a mountain path to a crowded beach, to large metropolitan realities we choose to surround ourselves with the traditions that can be seen in the small villages.
For this reason, in recent years we have made the decision to buy a small camper and set it up as a second home so that we can leave when we feel like it and have the time.

A combination that we always like is the travel-culinary one. Italy offers many ideas in this respect: unbalanced, what is the place you have visited with the best food-price-cultural or wildlife heritage ratio?

In our travels the culinary component can never be missing and is often part of the choices we make when we plan a trip. We are Emilians with a small Romagna streak in our blood which allows us to have at the table every goodness that our land is able to offer.

Despite this opportunity we are always discovering new flavors, tastes and textures and although each of us has our own preferences, it is difficult to find one better than the other.

After all, Italy is a country waiting to be discovered and every place is able to offer unique delights and curiosities that are envied all over the world.

Sabrina, could you tell us now about the work you have created for yourself?

In 2013 when I decided to open the blog together with my husband Davide I didn't think it would be read by people outside of our family circle. I have realized over the years that I have underestimated the digital world, rediscovering the great potential that blogs are able to promote to convey a message.

Then came the pandemic which forced all of us to stay at home for months and for many there were days of great pain but also of important professional choices.

The period I experienced allowed me to open myself up to new opportunities and the path to writing texts and editing articles for blogs, sites and magazines for other people opened me up to a new working reality. I'm free to write and travel at the same time and I think it's fabulous!

A very interesting thing about your blog is travel seen as research into film and TV series scenarios. Would you tell us about it?

The passion for cinema but above all for television series has always been a fundamental component of the whole family and although the genres we like are different from each other, a family evening to watch a series together can never be missed.

Paradoxically, in the camper we decided not to have a television and so to make the trips more and more interesting for our children, we invented new itineraries to discover the scenarios of films and TV series.

Everyone liked it and it has now become our common thread when we go to choose a travel destination.

As you know, Easy Travel Hosting uses renewable and eco-sustainable energy to power its servers. Furthermore, a tree is planted for each new hosting, actively helping reforestation and the absorption of CO2. What do you think of this project and in general, do you think it is important to seek a more sustainable lifestyle?

We chose Easy Travel Hosting because we believe that it is very important not to impact our daily life choices on the planet. The earth has limited space and although we have tried in past years to find other planets, we are sure that it will not be so easy immediately.

As parents, first of all we have a responsibility which is to leave our children a planet that is not only clean but above all one that allows them to live it to the full.

Easy Travel Hosting thanks Sabrina very much for taking part in our interview.
