Mirko and Erika full-time travellers

Trips off the tourist routes with particular attention to respect for the environment and forests. This is it Forest Life , blog by Mirko and Erika

Hi Mirko and Erika, welcome to Easy Travel Hosting! Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog Forest Life?

Hi, we're Mirko and Erika, we met online and from the first date we started talking about travel.

Mirko was a self-employed tiler and Erika was a barmaid, but we dreamed of a different life from the one we had. We wanted to explore the world, sharing the values we believe in, namely respect for nature, cultures and local communities.

Also eager to realize our dreams of building a job that reflects us in all respects. Mirko wants to become a travel videomaker and documentary maker and Erika a travel designer.

Forest Life was born from the idea of talking about how nature is good for man, how travel serves to open the mind and expand one's horizons by learning about different cultures while fully respecting the environment and the people who host us.

Full-time travellers: This might seem like a dream for a lot of people, but what is it like in reality to be a nomad?

We decided to drop everything and embark on a long-term journey both as an experience and baggage of our life, and as part of a larger project. We travel on a low budget and this means having a lot of adaptability to be able to fit within the daily budget.

We realize that many people dream of this kind of life, but sometimes it's just about taking that first step and finding the courage to take it.

Being nomads means not only seeing wonderful places in the world, but making sacrifices, because behind the articles we write and the videos we produce, there are many hours of work. Furthermore, we are far from our families and friends, and this may not be for everyone, but we feel that this lifestyle belongs to us.

You are now in Asia, where exactly are you located and what are the things you love most about the part of the world you are in?

Now we are in Asia precisely in Thailand. This part of the world fascinates us above all for the culture of the indigenous and rural populations who still maintain their traditions.

We love the approach that people here have towards life, their kindness, ready to always give help to those who need it. We love Buddhist temples and observing the rituals and practices that believers do every day. We love Asian cuisine and the incredible charm of the surrounding nature.

What do you miss about Italy, if anything?

Even though we really like the cuisine here, we miss good pizza. Obviously we miss our loved ones, but we knew that this life involves this sacrifice.

As you know, Easy Travel Hosting uses renewable and eco-sustainable energy to power its servers. Furthermore, a tree is planted for each new hosting, actively helping reforestation and the absorption of CO2. What do you think of this project and in general, do you think it is important to seek a more sustainable lifestyle?

In our communication on social media, we often try to make people understand the importance of having more sustainable behaviors starting from what they consume.

Everyone can do their part even starting with the smallest change. Switching to green and renewable energy is very important because nowadays the online world is constantly expanding and this is why when we discovered the Easy Travel hosting project we relied on your most sustainable servers and in line with our values.

Easy Travel Hosting thanks Mirko and Erika very much for taking part in our interview.
