HO VISTO CHE HAI UNA SERIE DI ARTICOLI INTITOLATI "I 5 SENSI". CI PARLERESTI DI QUESTO CONCETTO RELATIVO AI TUOI VIAGGI?

Everyone says, borrowing the famous quote that is popular on the internet, that “You experience every journey three times, when you dream it, when you live it and when you remember it”.

Well, I like to exaggerate by saying that you experience every journey five times: through the images that remain imprinted in your eyes, through the sounds that attract your hearing, through the scents that stimulate your sense of smell, through the foods that drive your taste buds crazy and through what your body perceives and touches!

This is what I mean by taking a trip, whether it's behind your house or thousands of kilometers away! Every time I leave with the desire to bring back with me sensations and memories capable of overturning my 5 senses!

I want to remember every journey through a song, a perfume, a dish, a breathtaking view and the warmth of a handshake from a stranger!

I want to come back from every trip a little’ changed and with a new baggage of emotions!

I SEE THAT JAPAN HAS A GREAT CHARM FOR YOU. WHAT DOES IT REPRESENT IN YOUR LIFE AS A TRAVELER?

The trip to Japan certainly represented the realization of a dream that had been buried in a drawer for years together with hundreds of other mind-blowing destinations.

On the web I had seen and reviewed hundreds of times the images of modern Tokyo, traditional Kyoto, festive Osaka and touching Hiroshima and hundreds of times I had tried to imagine how I would react once I reached my destination!

Among all the trips I have done so far, Japan is certainly at the top of my personal list as it has managed to completely conquer me!

Modernity and tradition that follow one another in an impressive way; the obsessive precision and discreet smile of the Japanese; the colors that fill the stalls of the various city markets; the inebriating flavor of foods (and I'm not just talking about sushi...); the beauty of religious rituals; the grandeur of the temples and the mysticism that shines through them; the tranquility and harmony that can be felt while walking in the wonderful gardens.

I could go on for hours listing what really drove my senses crazy in Japan.

As a maniac for order and punctuality, I couldn't help but be attracted by the way of doing and organizing their life which is frenetic but which follows rhythms and rules which in the eyes of tourists seem like synchronized dances in unison.

In simple words, I recommend everyone to set off to discover this wonderful country, allowing themselves to be transported into a wonderful world that is decidedly distant from our way of life.

WHAT WAS THE MOST EXTREME EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE LIVED WHILE TRAVELING?

Premise: I am certainly not a backpacker, a traveler for nights in the open air and extreme activities.

I much prefer a trolley and the tranquility of a small family-run hotel.

If I have to describe an experience that can be defined as "extreme", the only thing that comes to mind is the journey to discover Roatan sitting on the hot bed of a pick-up!

It certainly won't be the best adventure but for me it was truly a special experience and a little out of the ordinary!

WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR TRIPS MORE ECOLOGICAL?

This is an issue that all travelers should approach with greater caution, as our planet is trying in every way to warn us about the damage that man has done in the past and is, unfortunately, continuing to do!

When we travel, my partner and I adopt simple rules to try to be as "green" as possible.

We limit the use of plastics, for example, by always using thermal bottles and solid shampoo/shower gel, from a famous brand whose mission is to respect animals and the environment!

From Japan we then brought home the healthy habit of collecting all the waste produced during the day and "storing" it until we return to the hotel, in such a way as to avoid leaving it lying around and to "centralize" the collection and help with disposal, especially in less developed countries (see our last trip to Zanzibar).

Furthermore, this summer we also experimented with sun creams without Octinoxate and Oxybenzone, two chemical components harmful to the health of corals.

Now, thanks to you, I have discovered that you can be "greener" even by traveling and by making yourself travel from home using platforms that care about the health of the planet!

All these are, in our opinion, small gestures that can really help!
