WHAT MEAN DOES THE TRIP MEAN TO YOU?
Travel is an experience of freedom for the mind and body, which moves to reach new destinations. Whether it's a weekend or an outing for a longer period, traveling is a way to get to know yourself from another perspective: in contact with new people, cultures and aspects linked to the place you visit.
An opportunity that opens up to seize new inspirations to grow, improve and open one's character and acquire new ideas for writing or creating small works of art that speak of us, such as a painting or even a book.
FOOD AND TRAVEL, AN ESSENTIAL COMBINATION FOR YOU?
Food and travel represent an important combination for my concept of travel, but it is not essential. It depends, in my opinion, what you are looking for from a trip. We can be attracted by architecture, sacred buildings, museums and other types of attractions: each tourist destination is able to offer us the best for our need for discovery, it is up to us to decide to focus on specific aspects.
To return to the travel combination – I find food to be a way to immerse yourself in the culture of a place: the dishes are often the result of traditions that have been handed down, secret recipes and even popular legends. Real stories are created around food that can only intrigue the visitor and increase his interest in the gastronomic reality he has chosen to discover.
HOW DID YOUR PASSION FOR VILLAGES BEGIN?
My passion for villages was born by chance, during weekends spent in the company of friends. I think that many, like me, have discovered a love for small but evocative places during the weekend: the villages are the ideal destinations for trips out of town, they welcome visitors with their genuine beauty and their history.
Appreciated by families but also by young hikers looking for a memorable glimpse to share on social media, I find that the villages are treasures to be preserved in their protection and to be enhanced so that they never disappear.
WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR TRIPS MORE ECOLOGICAL?
In addition to not littering and collecting rubbish at the end of a pleasant picnic, I don't think of doing any great ecological work when I travel. But in my small way I contribute to keeping the place where I go for a visit clean, I think it's the least you can do when you are a guest.
I could say, rather, that I am doing a work of cultural ecology by sharing photos that portray natural oases and encouraging a certain amount of hiking tourism among the people I know or among those who follow my content as followers.
