YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPECIFY THAT YOURS IS NOT A TRAVEL BLOG. HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?
My blog talks about the destinations that we have had the opportunity to explore on a sailing boat since 2014. French Polynesia, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zealand. I talk about these destinations from a personal point of view. Traveling with children, traveling with celiac disease, traveling on a sailing boat. Apparently the structure refers to a Travel blog, however travel is part of my life project, it is precisely an approach that we have given.
We are away between 2 and 4 months a year. The purpose of the blog is therefore not only to inform, but to share my project on the importance and necessity of “educate on emotions”.
It is a cultural project: traveling to discover, we move to discover new worlds, we meet local populations, we share habits and customs. We try to come into contact with the realities we encounter as much as possible.
And it is an educational project. Raising a child through travel means getting him used to diversity, offering him the possibility of enriching his language, but also and above all stimulating his imagination., with the possibility of processing real mental images. For example, if he has experienced the sunrise on the open sea, he will be able, when speaking, to describe the scent of the morning air. Travel refines these perceptions. This is the richness of travel, this is why 7cc9 is not a simple travel blog.
WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING, YOU FELT YOUR LIFE AND ESSENCE BEING SUCKED OUT, WITHOUT GETTING ANYTHING IN RETURN. HOW DID YOU TURN YOUR LIFE AROUND?
When I started working I was very happy. In fact, I even felt lucky to have found a job when all my university colleagues were looking for something. I was full of expectations and like all dreamers, full of optimism. I worked for television, for 7 years I followed documentaries with Piero Angela. Beautiful.
At a certain point I realized that I had put optimism into the wrong project. Because I worked I worked I worked… certain that something would change over time and instead 14 years later my condition had even worsened. I had the salary yes, but the time had canceled it. When you are not in time, you end up not even being in space, you cancel yourself out. You forget who you are, you lose your sparkle.
I had the turning point when I became a mother. I couldn't afford to anymore “be little” because I had to set an example for my son. I had also lost my health while my son deserved a happy, smiling, available and healthy mother.
We had already started sailing and travelling, I understood that this was my space-time to protect and cultivate.
