HERE'S THE QUESTION THAT GIVES EVERYONE A CRISIS: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU GROW UP?
This is a question that could stump many. I answer by telling an episode: I work in a nursery school with children from 3 ai 5/6 years. I read with them, I chat, game...and it will be this closeness, Maybe it's because I'm not very tall...I think they don't have the full perception of my being an "adult". The fact is that one day a child asked me (as I also tell in my blog): “Teacher, what do you want to do when you grow up?” And me, I answered him very calmly: “The traveller!”.
WHAT IS THE COUNTRY OR CITY THAT SNAPPED YOUR HEART?
When I travel I always leave a piece of my heart in the places I visit. But Cuba undoubtedly stole a significant portion of it: its colors, the joy and friendliness of the people, postcard landscapes, music for the street…
I SEE YOU OFTEN TRAVEL TO ITALY. DO YOU PREFER OUR LAND OR FAR PLACES?
I love to travel, whatever that means: whether it's reaching distant places or running around the length and breadth of my beloved Italy. I travel a lot in the beautiful country and I think I am also helped in this by the fact that I am a Pugliese who moved to Rome and therefore I know the two realities quite well. I believe that Italy is one of the few countries in the world to offer the most varied breathtaking landscapes (from the sea to the mountains), art, culture, traditions, gastronomy…an explosive mix!
What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
I'm always looking, even for small trips to use public transport or move on foot. In particular, when I move around Italy I often travel by train. Furthermore, for a few years I have abolished the use of plastic by using only water bottles in aluminum and, whenever possible, reusable containers.
