Welcome to Easy Travel hosting! You can tell us how the business started "Togovan"?
Ciao Easy Travel Hosting, And thanks for the possibility of telling Togovan 🙂
The business project Togovan was born on the Méano beach, a Tenerife, Isola delle Canarie where my partner Carlo and I decided to greet the arrival of 2018. Everything started with the realization of a dream of mine in the drawer: Traveling on a vintage minivan!
And so, Once you arrive, we rented” Wendy”, and Volkswagen T2 Campnerized of 1975 that brought us up (with a little’ fatigue) and down the island of Tenerife for a whole week, Discovering wonderful places outside the canonical circuits of mass tourism.
A week in which thoughts, The stress of everyday life and concerns have disappeared, literally swept away with the wind always present on that island…
On board Wendy time stopped, the crazy daily race that can be shocked: we followed the times of ours “old woman”, never more than 80km/h, The climbs faced with great tranquility but above all we lived the strong contact with the nature that surrounded us.
Discover the island in mode “slow”, reach sea villas and stretches of Costa Selvaggia, devaluate mountains… Everything had a different flavor because it is done with slowness and attention to the moment we lived and the place where we were.
Fall asleep aboard Wendy was like being lulled by the arms of a caring mother: a dinner prepared in minivan, A good bottle of wine, The light turned off when the stars were turned on in the sky…
We slept free, on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic listening to the noise of the wind, We woke up with the colors of dawn stolen from the palette of an impressionist painter: What else is needed to feel good in the world?
From this question the idea of wanting to make everyone tried “The Jewness of slowness” and discover the territories in a slow and conscious mode on board vintage minivans.
The formula currently includes the Experiences mode – in which the owner of the minivan himself drives as Ambassador of the territory – and that of sharing the vehicle, where the user himself will drive the minivan.
Ours will arrive too “vintage green minivan” to combine the retro look with the ecological impact, but for this there is still a little’ to wait

THIS PROJECT HAS A VINTAGE FLAVOUR, YOU ARE A PASSIONATE OF RETRO STYLE EVEN IN EVERYDAY LIFE?
I love all vintage mediums, It's a passion I've had since I was a little girl: a dear friend of mine has a convertible Beetle, and it was she who directed me into that world of gatherings, desire to be together, joy and humor.
As a newly made the 2nd Charleston I dreame, I still haven't bought it but who knows that sooner or later it doesn't arrive..
My wardrobe is full of vintage clothing, I prefer it to the new for two reasons:
- I really like the idea that behind that garment I bought there is the story of another person, his emotions and a piece of his life
- There are beautiful garments, with cuts and a quality of fabrics that are certainly not found today in the GDO chains
I think everything behind this world still has a flavor “sano”, of beautiful and real: In my opinion, appreciating something anachronistic and outside the current fashion patterns is a symbol of originality and personality.

The journey you dream of making on a van and the most beautiful one you did?
I dream of traveling the whole west coast of the United States to Mexico, from San Francisco Cable San Lucas aboard di unidin, To admire wonderful panoramas and animals in the wild, Roll out on sunny beaches and cross stretches of cactus and fall asleep “free” with volcanoes who watch me behind me.
An iconic journey, To relive a little’ of what was the real hippie discovery journey of the 1960s.
The most beautiful journey I made? Without a doubt the Costarica: 1500Km aboard a jeeep on winding roads, difficult and tiring, by climbing over mountain steps and volcanoes, Wash rivers and resisting very strong winds of wind.
A country where nature dictates the law, where there is such a high concentration of animals per square metre 2 so much so as to make the presence of man feel useless.
Howler monkeys following you into the trees, raccoons running along the electricity wires, caimans spying on you during canoe crossings on rivers surrounded by mangroves…not to mention the inhabitants, the most peaceful people I have ever met.
I would leave tomorrow morning for CostaRica, to breathe deeply again the beauty of a country “slow” perfectly integrated with its nature…

WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR LIFE GREENER?
Beh, if vintage in itself contains a concept of ecology, as it is not thrown away but re-used, from suits to minivans, from furniture to accessories, It all enters with a circular economy perspective , Don't think?
In my little newspaper I am committed to buying as much as possible, both of food and detergents, I apply the differentiated and for a few days I have been using the app TooGoodToGO for the purchase of food on the limit of the deadline that would otherwise be destined for the garbage.
I move mainly by bicycle or on foot and for a year and a half I no longer use the car that was bringing me to exhaustion: 1h to travel 8km was really too much!
I don't think it is more possible to go on with the same life model as 50 years ago, But I think the way to raise awareness – of young and old – be still long and uphill, Unfortunately…
