Hi Stefania and welcome to Easy Travel hosting! Food Photographer creator of the site Stefania Iacaccarino. You could talk to you a little about you and how your business was born?

Hello to you and thanks for this interview. My profession of Food Photographer actually was born from far away.

A few years ago taken by a conflicting bond with food, I opened an IG account in which I shared the creation of recipes to improve my lifestyle and food. This led me to see the food in a different way, a resource to be grateful for and to share… and what better way to share food and recipes digitally than through photography?

To the photo, that art that had always fascinated me but I had never allowed myself to pursue. From here the turning point came and I decided to invest in my professional training as a food photographer and stylist.

The photos on your Instagram and website are truly mouth watering! Where did the decision to photograph food rather than focus on portraits or panoramas come from??

I was going through a particular period and felt the need to reconnect with food in an authentic way, therefore I started photographing it, seeking its beauty and the sensations connected to it.

Photographing what I cook is like practicing mindful eating, feed the visual and emotional part connected to hunger.

What difficulties have you encountered and what difficulties do you encounter in this type of work ?

It is very difficult to find customers who know how to give and understand the value behind the snapshot of a recipe.

There are many food influencers today and they often work for free or in exchange for gifts just to gain visibility.

Being a freelance food photographer who asks for a fair salary for her work therefore encounters a lot of competition and often walls.

Share vegetarian and vegan recipes on your Instagram, you talk about a sustainable lifestyle and mindfulness. How do these things connect in your everyday life?

A TEDx at my university changed my vision of many things, opening me up to the world of 360° sustainability.

This was also the reason why I focused my university studies on the circular bioeconomy with a master's degree in corporate social responsibility.

Nutrition, however little it is talked about or talked about, it is one of the most impactful spheres on the planet. Understanding this and being open to change is an essential step if we want to try to change course.

This awareness made me make many small changes in my daily life: use less plastic and packaging, switch to a predominantly plant-based diet, limit waste and waste in general.

Through my recipes made visually appealing too, I therefore try in my own small way to spread awareness and break down some preconceptions regarding vegan food.

As Easy Travel Hosting will know, use renewable and eco-sustainable energy to power your servers. A tree is also planted for each new hosting, actively helping the reforestation and absorption of CO2. What do you think of this project?

I chose Easy Travel Hosting to host my blog precisely because it uses renewable and eco-sustainable energy sources. I am thrilled to have contributed in my own small way to reforestation by planting my cedar tree in Guatemala.

This project demonstrates a lot of awareness and commitment on your part and offers web domain owners the opportunity to make a difference digitally too.
