Hi Emanuela, Welcome to Easy Travel hosting! In your blog, "World view room", Offer advice and suggestions to travel independently. What are the advantages of organizing their travels instead of relying on tourist packages? You have some suggestions for those who wish to start traveling more autonomously?
Ciao! Personally it happened to me 3 times to rely on "tourist packages": 1 time for a week in a village by the sea in Calabria e 2 times for 2 European itineraries with a tour operator in which I started alone but the journey was made for groups of about 30 people with a guide.
The other times I have started I have always preferred to organize everything! Since adolescence I have always loved a lot the part preceding the departure: choose a destination, program the itinerary, find accommodation, Book the train or plane etc. This allows you to meet personal needs more, You can organize your stay in one place depending on your rhythms and if once you arrive/you want to change itinerary you don't have to give account anyone without counting, In the end, The flexibility of the timetables that in the organized trips that I did obviously could not be there!
In any case, for those who have never traveled alone/or it is good, In my opinion, start with Short stays (1-2 gg max) and in places not too far from their comfort zone (For example in the same region in which you live) or as I did: starting alone but with group trips organized in order to do not feel completely disoriented and to have a support in case of need.
What was the main inspiration behind the creation of the blog "World view room"?
Circa 15 years ago I discovered that I suffer from panic attacks, That year I had booked a trip to 3 Days in Barcelona alone and having had my first panic attack a few days before departure I canceled the holiday (And also lost the flight money ...)
From there I started a path with a psychologist. Obviously but the idea of not being able to travel has never passed through my head, So the following year I started alone but making a guided tour of Spain with a group of strangers in order to have someone to contact in case of need anyway. Then over the years, Crossing various steps I managed to travel alone in Italy organized in all aspects by me.
The idea of creating a My blog mine Born in July 2021 from the need to put what I have in white, exorcise my fears, Leave a track and share everything I was able to admire closely!
How do you intend to sensitize and normalize the theme of mental health through its blog?
The theme of mental health is still taboo for many and there is a lot disinformation…I would like, sharing my experience, become a source of inspiration for people who suffer from anxiety related disorders, panic attacks, phobias, stress etc. Instill them courage and invite them not to preclude the possibility of seeing how much Beauty is in the world!
On the Blog There is a section to which I hold a lot: Vista room… no anxiety! Here are articles where I tell my experiences (not only related to travel), positive e negative, where I try to inform people as much as possible on this theme also through interviews with special guests where we talk about inclusion, psychology, accessibility, physical and mental well -being.
How can the journey help a person to face their anxieties and fears?
Premise: Each person is a case in himself, Also because we do not live all the same symptoms. My advice is always to be followed by a professional.
There have been periods in which I struggled to leave the house so I know well that it is not a short and easy path for everyone ... maybe before venturing into the visit of distant places you can start going to an exhibition or visit a monument in your city alone.
Travel can frighten Like all the things we have never done ... the first step is always starting!
Personally, doing so helps me so much to take back my hand autonomy, to acquire greater safety e awareness of my skills and every time I go home stronger!
When I happened to be sick away from home I took it as an opportunity to test myself and once you have passed the feeling of having done it is beautiful!
