Jumping into a pan
Elena's cuisine

Elena loves to close in the kitchen and relax, as the perfumes of the kitchen loves to spread around the house. Stir-frying it's the blog where he talks to us about his cooking!

Welcome to Easy Travel hosting! How did your passion for cooking begin and are you more into sweet or savory foods??

Thank you very much for the invitation. My passion was born over time. I'm not one of those little girls who messed around in the kitchen when they were little. I've always loved sitting in the kitchen watching my mom and grandma cook, I spent hours admiring their skill in rolling out the pastry with a rolling pin or kneading bread or wraps.

But I never put them on “hands in the mix”. Then when I moved to study at university I obviously started cooking a bit, and it won me over. Now the kitchen is truly my kingdom, the place where I relax and restore myself from the strains of everyday life.

When I'm tired, in the evening I relax by preparing some cakes, This way I also make the family happy.
I'm a big sweet tooth, so my passion is sweets.

I also really love my traditional recipes, like egg pasta, or the Romagna piadina, but desserts are really the thing I love most. I even love preparing them more than eating them.

Your dishes have very beautiful presentations, with plays of colors and shapes. How important is aesthetics in the preparation of a dish?

The aesthetics of the dishes are obviously very important. How do you say, you eat with your eyes first than with your mouth. The sight obviously stimulates interest in a dish.

But without going too far, I confess that I don't like dishes that are too refined even aesthetically. I am of the opinion that substance should not take second place compared to appearance; you must focus first on the final taste, then onto the plating.

Have you ever found yourself preparing a lunch or dinner and nothing went smoothly?

Yes it has happened to me several times. It always happens to me when I have to prepare lunches or dinners for guests. When I prepare for us everything almost always goes smoothly, apart from perhaps some forgotten pans on the stove, but when I have guests or are asked for particular dishes, cataclysms always happen.

Murphy's law is unforgiving. The worst situation, that I had to face and that I will never forget, it was when it spilled on the floor, while I was packed her, A cake that had been asked for a degree of thirty people. E’ was a tragic moment.

Cosa fai per rendere la tua vita più ecologica?

I am particularly sensitive to this topic. They are of peasant origin therefore in my house there has always been a very close contact with nature and the earth. My grandmother had lived both wars so it always told me about the restrictions they had to face in those years.

It taught me that the food is precious and that everything can be reused in the kitchen, Nothing must be thrown away.
I love recycling recipes very much because they are a stimulating challenge to find new ideas of use of the ingredients. And I find that recycling recipes are often better than many recipes with sought -after ingredients.

In my blog, in fact, there are many ideas to reuse what is normally considered waste.
Also I hate the car deeply, that I don't have. I stress myself a lot to drive in the traffic.

Since I was a child I love to go by bicycle, So in the city I move to me using my trusted bicycle, and for long movements I prefer public transport, mainly the train,
