WE LOVE LAOS HERE AT EASY TRAVEL HOSTING, TELL US YOUR EXPERIENCE!
Laos is a really interesting country. My regret is that I didn't spend more time on it. Unfortunately though when you travel for a month between Thailand and Laos, There are many places to visit and you have to make choices.
I arrived in Luang Prabang with an incredible adventure that started from Chiang Mai in Thailand and in 24 hours saw me take a private transfer, a boat, a tuk tuk and a bus. Luang Prabang is a fascinating city where Laotian culture still coexists with a strong French influence. The trek through the forest to get to Kuang Si Falls was one of the most beautiful experiences of this trip. While the city of Ventiane is more ordinary.

FOOD AND TRAVEL, An essential combination?
Absolutely. I am an avid supporter of the principle that if you don't know the cuisine of the country you are visiting, then you will never truly know the culture of the place. This is because the typical dishes, beyond their goodness, they also tell many interesting stories. The origin of the ingredients, external influences, the cooking techniques and rituals linked to a dish help us better understand the identity of a people.
About food and travel, my favorite cuisines are Vietnamese and Thai cuisine for Asia and Peruvian cuisine for America. But it is only a provisional ranking because there are still many ethnic cuisines that I have to discover.

WHAT WAS THE MOST EXTREME EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE LIVED WHILE TRAVELING?
Trekking in Nepal is certainly the experience that has put my body and mind to the greatest test. 16 days of walking, circa 200 kilometers traveled at an altitude between 1.600 and i 5416 meters of the Thorung La Pass, the highest pass in the world. Throughout the entire route there are no roads passable by any means, so if you find yourself in difficulty the only rescue is by air. This experience changed my travel style a lot because it made me reflect on many aspects of life.

What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
Talking about sustainability and responsible tourism, when I travel I don't do anything different from what I do in my daily life. That is, I try to leave as few traces of my passage as possible both in terms of waste produced and in terms of damage caused. For example, when I travel, when I meet local populations, I am attracted by their lifestyle and I dedicate a lot of time to observation. When I'm in a place I search, to the extent possible, to adopt the habits of the local inhabitants. This is why when I travel I only do it for long periods and I am against hit-and-run trips made just to be able to list the countries visited..
