HOW DID YOU END UP WORKING IN AFRICA? WE ARE VERY CURIOUS, TELL US YOUR STORY!

Let me start by saying that I am a rather curious girl. The ordinary bores me easily, which is why I am always looking for new stimuli and new adventures.

That said, I have always had a passion for Africa, so much so that, already during my university studies, I had been to Senegal as a volunteer.
Finished university, However, I got overwhelmed by the loop. First an internship of a few months in a large company, then permanent employment by the same.

I worked there for almost two years, until last February, when, the initial enthusiasm has passed, I realized I wasn't doing what I wanted. I was living a life that didn't belong to me. So I thought about my desire to travel, to discover and understand. I thought about Africa.

I immediately started looking for a project and that's how I found them, the people of COMUNDO.
COMUNDO is a Swiss organization that, through the exchange of knowledge and experiences with its local partner organisations, seeks to improve living conditions and strengthen people's rights in several countries around the world.
In short, to make a long story short, I was awarded the project for which I applied, I said goodbye to my permanent contract and got on a flight towards Lusaka to embark on this new adventure.

I LOVE YOUR WAY OF WRITING, YOU HAVE WRITERS YOU INSPIRE YOU? HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF WRITING A BOOK?

Sincerely, At the moment I don't have any authors who inspire me. Hmm…how did you guess? Yes, writing a book is one of my dreams. To put it bluntly, I've already tried too, but then I gave up. But as they say, everything in its time.

WHAT WAS THE MOST EXTREME EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE LIVED IN AFRICA?

Recently, I went with a couple of friends to visit a national park, where we had the fantastic idea of taking part in a canoe safari.

With this little boat, we then ventured down the river, paddling among crocodiles, hippos and elephants.

On the one hand it is certainly a very exciting experience, on the other hand I have to admit that it's a little scary, especially if you also have that friend who, in the meantime, he enjoys telling you the worst misadventures that have happened.

Anyway, all happy and smiling we continue to navigate the river, not realizing that we are paddling right in the direction of a hippopotamus.

For those who don't know, hippos are highly territorial, so that, as soon as we set foot in his area, he doesn't hesitate to point this out to us.

Ora, imagine this handsome face popping out unexpectedly from the murky water that..., looking at you, it opens its jaws wide and lets out a nice roar, and then disappears back into the water.

I'm just telling you that I was already ready for the crash. I was ready to be catapulted into the air, before ending up in the water among the crocodiles.

Ma, as Seneca says, we suffer much more from our imagination than from reality.

Indeed, none of this happened. Thanks to a series of coincidences, everything ended well.

What do you do to make your travels more ecological?

I love traveling on adventures. Un van, a tent, a backpack and maybe a couple of friends is all I need. My backpack is, among other things, my most faithful travel companion, inside which my water bottle is never missing.

When I travel and camp in the middle of nature, I then do my best to respect the environment around me. Lastly, but not least, before leaving, I usually go to the supermarket to buy only the things I already know I can't buy along the way, where I can easily stock up on seasonal fruit and vegetables thanks to the numerous local vendors who display their goods along the road.
