In your blog we can perceive your propensity for beauty. You can tell us about it?
«Dostoevsky said “beauty will save the world”. This is not just a mere aesthetic research, but of the sense of beauty, of the very essence of beauty understood as care for the soul. This is what I feel when faced with a monument, a work in a museum or during an exhibition, and this is what I hope to convey to those who read my blog or follow me on social media, trusting that it will be a source of inspiration".

What is the biggest difference you find between Italian museums and those abroad?
«Until a few decades ago there was a large gap between Italian museums and those abroad, it was even difficult to open a "restaurant" or a simple bar inside a museum, just think that Naples required the foresight of director Paolo Giulierini, to have one inside the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
Today museums like the Mudec in Milan even boast starred bistros, that end up in design or food magazines. But there is still a sense of embarrassment on the part of Italian museums in admitting that they need to make money first and foremost. While abroad, museums and galleries open up to various events to raise funds to reinvest, in Italy we still feel uncomfortable about the fact that art and culture must produce money to self-sustain, to generate jobs, to allow increasingly wider use by the public".

If I had to spend the rest of my life in front of just one painting, what it would be and why?
«It is difficult to choose just one work. I don't have a favorite artist, although he favors some movements such as baroque painting. But if I had the choice, I would like to spend the rest of my life admiring a Madonna and Child between the two Saints by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli known as Giampietrino.
I find this work, dated between 1523-1526, belonging to a private collection, of infinite sweetness. The child is in a blessing act, and Maria observes him (forcing the viewer to see it too) while he wraps his arm around him and holds him gently with his hand. A painting that has come to mind often recently, and it would be nice to be able to admire it for the rest of your life, perceiving that sense of maternal protection".

What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
«Little things that, I hope, make a difference: I try to save paper, using QR codes instead of printing travel tickets and hotel reservations; I always carry the same bottle of water with me, taking it from time to time from public fountains; I always throw, where available, the different types of waste in the appropriate differentiated bins e, above all, I always clean up if I eat in public places like parks or squares. Because there is an absolute need for everyone to do their part and give their contribution. Always".
