I READ THAT YOU LEFT LONDON FOR COLOMBIA. IT WAS A DIFFICULT CHOICE?
It was difficult to realize that I needed a big change and that the life I was living in London was no longer for me. I was working 16 hours a day, I was passing by 2-3 hours in the vehicles, I was very sacrificed and I wasn't doing what I liked.
Once I realized that I wanted to travel in life and that there was a way to do it for as long as possible, energies were concentrated on realizing this desire.
E’ it was hard, more than difficult to be able to give up many things in my life in order to save the money I needed to change my life. And socially it was difficult to explain to people, especially the closest ones like my family, That my life is not closed in an office or a shop but around the world, working for myself and my projects.
WHAT DO YOU MAINLY DO IN COLOMBIA?
I have a travel blog with which I promote Colombia in Italy. I organize tours, I make customized itineraries, events to promote Colombian culture, I sell Colombian products…
And apart from that I do digital marketing so I work with different clients in different parts of the world following their digital strategy.
WHAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COLOMBIANS AND ITALIANS?
That when Colombians go out it's to drink, not one but fifty beers one after the other (and they don't get drunk eh! they all hold up like few others!). We Italians, on the other hand, go out to eat. In Italy a party without food is a tragedy, in Colombia they may not eat for days, but don't miss out on alcohol!
What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
I walk, very, very much! 😛 When I visit a new place I discover it by walking 🙂
I try to follow local customs, as well as eating local and helping the local community as much as possible.
