First of all we take this opportunity to thank you and tell you that we are very happy to have a chat with you, given the work that Easy Travel Hosting carries out helping the planet.
Our travel blogger adventure began slowly, in an almost comical and completely casual way, and then develop more and more into something great, a project we care a lot about.
Our first trip together was to Rome, a poorly organized trip full of unexpected events, but from that experience we learned to collect the right information and we became good at organization, avoiding unpleasant unexpected events.
Over time and with the succession of various trips we have understood what information can be useful to tourists and travelers who are preparing to visit a new destination and, gathering knowledge and travel experiences, we felt like sharing them with everyone, so he was born Expressyourtravel.
The idea right from the start was to create guides that could fill all the doubts relating to a specific destination, from the most banal information, but often not at all obvious, such as what documents you need to travel to a certain country, what electrical outlets are used, telephone, time zone etc., to advice on what to see, where to eat and sleep, how to get around and much more.
In short, right from the start our site was created to help others organize a trip by providing 360° information, then by continuing to travel and discover new places we also wanted to inspire and introduce new destinations.
WE ARE TALKING MORE AND MORE ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOLIDAYS AND TRAVELS, AND YOU HAVE DEFINITELY CHOSEN THE TRIP. YOU CAN TELL US WHAT YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO TRAVEL IS?
We are very keen to answer this question, as you said, there is more and more talk about the difference between holidays and travel and we like to believe we are travellers. We are not born travellers, you become one, it becomes one when territorial borders no longer exist, racial and live with the hunger to discover cultures from all over the world, when step by step, even giving up comfort, you go to discover the soul of the place, avoiding those attractions that may also be characteristic but which no longer belong to the local culture and are simply there to please tourists.
Our favorite way to travel is, in one word, “light”. Initially we left with a lot of things which then turned out to be useless and heavy to carry, over time we understood that there are few things that are really needed when travelling.
SWEDEN AND STOCKHOLM HAVE GREAT IMPORTANCE FOR YOU, CAN YOU TELL US WHY YOU ARE LOVED WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY?
And, Sweden is very important to us, and in particular its capital Stockholm. The reasons are many, we lived there for several months and it was our first lasting experience abroad.
It was Stockholm that inspired us for the blog, after the experience lived in the Swedish capital, what was just an idea turned into the draft of a first guide, the Stockholm guide in fact.
But perhaps the simplest answer is Stockholm, if you know it thoroughly, it's hard not to love her: an elegant city, gentile, attentive to the environment, where there are many more bikes passing through the center than cars, where everything is designed for the common good and not for the individual.
What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
Paying attention to the environment even when traveling has become a pleasant habit for us and we hope that the readers of this interview understand that taking an eco-friendly trip does not mean taking an uncomfortable trip, or a less beautiful journey.
On the contrary, sometimes it's more comfortable, for example, we have completely eliminated the use of paper for tickets and only use electronic tickets that we carry with us on our smartphone, which we recharge with a solar-powered battery charger.
We stopped buying, where possible, plastic water bottles and we bring our own aluminum water bottles, Furthermore, when visiting cities we have almost completely abandoned the use of motor vehicles, when necessary due to force majeure we use public transport, otherwise we prefer to walk around, as well as doing the environment a favor and saving money, you enjoy the place more, and if you are in a hurry, what's better than a bicycle?
