What prompted you to go to live in London?

I grew up in a rather International environment, living between Canada, Greece, Kenya, Canary and several other places. So at some point I move to cheshire, in northern England. Because it was the easiest choice all in all. I have a training, Very Anglo -Saxon education and mentality because of my background, And therefore it was a spontaneous choice.

In London, however, I got there later! Maybe I needed more life than the beautiful Cheshire campaigns! From London I also gone for a while, but then I came back because for me it is home, and despite the thousand experiences in other countries, It is currently the place where I am better. Despite not being a perfect place, But which city is perfect?!

What do I recommend to someone who wants to move now?

To inquire really well. Leaving out the Brexit speech, which implies new rules, New procedures, etc. - apart from that, You have to know things well, how to move, and have so much, a lot of desire to integrate.

I saw Italian arriving and living in an "Italian bubble", And then say they weren't doing well. Beh, they have never even made the attempt to know the place, The people, food, Culture. Zero. This is the biggest mistake. House is where you are fine, And if you move to a country, you want to feel good, credo. So it's nice to live at 100% the place, and feel it yours.

And to a tourist who has never seen the city?

I recommend living it Really looking, If they have time, not to stop at the most tourist places. I understand that if you come for a few days the first time, You want to see the most famous things.

But when you come back you can dedicate more time to less tourist places. London does not represent England, But in residential areas it is possible to see the "normal" life of the neighborhood. With the non -tourist local cafe, The pubs on the corner frequented by the area people, The streets with butcher shop, the shoemaker, etc. - In short, More real areas than Piccadilly Circus!

What do you do to make your travels more ecological?

I never have, I admit it, Made too much attention to these things if not the last few years, But now if I can I try to bring a small contribution. Starting with a simple water bottle, that you can fill yourself in London, free, of water in almost every coffee shop.

A very small thing that we can do, and what do I do, It is trying to use the various ticket apps and reservations, So we don't print anything on paper, which is then immediately thrown. Here in London I don't use the car, because it doesn't need, But if I move out, I try to use the train.

Another little thing I do, It is not to buy more useless things in travel. I am a waste, Not just money, also of various packaging! We are tempted by the adrenaline of the new journey, We would like to buy even the most banal things, But often then we do nothing! Let's reflect 😊
