HOW MUCH YOUR JOURNEY CHANGES ONCE YOU HAVE CHILDREN?

The way of traveling does not change with the arrival of children if we are the ones who do not change while travelling. Having a child at a very young age means growing together even in the way we travel. Children take example from what they see and experience: if the parents continue to travel as they did before their arrival, it will be natural for the children to find themselves on the other side of the world all together. It's all about teaching them that the best lessons come from travelling, they will soon get used to the comings and goings. It is clear that during a trip shared with your children there will have to be more precautions but if traveling was already our life before, it will all come very naturally.
When I travel with my son it's like we're doing an exchange: I go back to seeing with the eyes of a child and living the experiences that present themselves to us with a light heart and a carefree mind, while he learns how to grow up, but not too much, learn to be responsible, different situations teach him when he can laugh, run, scream, jump, he slowly learns what traveling means.

WRITING, PHOTOGRAPHY AND TRAVEL, AN ESSENTIAL TRINOM?

An essential trinomial, Exactly. I write to travel, I travel to write and photograph, photographer for writing, I write, I travel and photograph for a living and I live to write, traveling and photography. Said like this, It sounds like a tongue twister but it's my life itself, always give, is centered on these three passions.

As a child I wrote a lot, I got my first camera when I was eleven, Traveling and being away from home was routine for the first decade of my life. They are not hobbies developed over time but they are the three passions in which and from which I was born, simply, write, traveling and photography are what I am and will be.

A JOURNEY THAT CHANGED EVERY PERSPECTIVE?

My first trip to America definitely changed my entire perspective. Arrived at a delicate moment of transition, I found in it many of the answers that I had been looking for for some time as well as the fact that it clearly put in front of me all the cards that one has to play in life.

E’ It was an exciting two-week road trip through California, Nevada and Arizona, the most classic of the classics in short, my first trip overseas among other things, a trip that I recommend to everyone to live for a few days inside those cinematographic sets with which we grew up, to see how beautiful the States are that go beyond clichés.

What do you do to make your life more ecological?

I try to protect the environment around me and take care of the planet just like when I am at home in everyday life. I do separate waste collection, even where it is not fully applied, I use a water bottle instead of a case of water bottles to put in my backpack, and I travel with a backpack and a small trolley, I never take a large baggage on board, even if I have to go to the other side of the world, few clothes (I don't buy clothes specifically for traveling) which I will wash cyclically at its destination.
I always say that we are not going to have a fashion show but to discover the world, the important thing is to be clean. To move, when the plane is essential, I try to do as few flights as possible. In hotels I behave like at home: I avoid having towels changed when it's not necessary, I take quick showers, I turn everything off when I go out or the lights when I don't need them, I don't watch television, also because I only come back to the hotel to sleep and wash, I only turn on the heating or air conditioning if really necessary, I'm someone who doesn't suffer from cold or heat and this helps, I always prefer to open the windows to let in the heat of the sun or fresh air. I prefer to eat local foods, less wrapped ready-made foods means less plastic. I collect waste that I find in nature but I know that I could do much more and I intend to commit to doing so.
