Valerio's revolution
Sometimes the journey is the result of the need to get out of the routine cage, from the pre -ordered patterns of the company. From the need for individuality. Dreamerwild tells the story of Valerio's revolution, against a world that wants us all to be equal.

YOUR TRAVELS WERE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF A DARK AND PROBLEMATIC PERIOD. YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT?
Yes certainly… In March 2016 I had been coming for years 6 passed between hatred and anger towards a consumerist society, stuck in jobs they didn't like doing, a society lobotomized in front of the television watching low culture television programs, I saw so much violence on TV in the news and I wondered how it was possible that humanity had gone mad at any moment.
I read millions of Italians complaining about politicians on social media, how their life was going for them, without having to lift a finger to change things. In those years I was at odds with my parents, because for them working is sacred, when it is sacred to me to do what we love. I wasn't looking for work and I didn't feel like wasting time on useless jobs, which perhaps allowed me to have a full wallet, but they wouldn't make me happy, because it was important for me to be happy and discover the path to finding myself.
I realized that in 23 March 2016, all that inner discomfort that I vented towards society, it was aimed above all at myself. Just on that day, on an ordinary evening I had a panic attack, that terrified me so much, to allow me to see the light outside the tunnel and from that day I promised myself in front of a mirror, that I would no longer allow myself to be hurt.
And precisely in those moments with my cell phone in my hand I book my first trip to California with money I had put aside and from there the journey became my therapy.

In your blog you talk about travel as a revolution. What kind of revolution is yours?
In English revolution is written “Revolution” And reading the word on the contrary there is “Love” that is, love. For me to travel is my revolution because it allowed me to know myself, to find out who I really are and to love my body more and listen more to the heart, Which is not easy to do when the mind begins to chat and shoot nonsense.
Traveling is my revolution because it allows me to explore the world from many perspectives, seeing new realities and learning about new cultures. Revolution for me is doing what I love and not what others expect.
Doing what I love beyond judgment, beyond fears. My goal is to completely revolutionize my life, completely escape the illusion that the system offers us. Because I find it truly unnatural to waste one's life just working when we have a world and a life to live.

THE RELEASE OF YOUR BOOK HAS OPENED SEVERAL DOORS FOR YOU. COULD YOU TELL US IN BRIEF ABOUT THE CONTENTS OF YOUR BOOK?
E’ a book born thanks also to the collaboration of my current partner Tania Petroni, author of the book “The Love That You Are” who gave me a great hand in bringing this book to light.
Mine tells very simply, my initial state of mind and the evolution I had thanks to my backpacking trips. Where I grinded 25.000 km by land, moving only by bus and hitchhiking. 25.000 km by land lived in southern Italy, in North and Central America and Southern Africa.
On this trip I experienced states, wonderful cities and places where I also slept on the streets and in stations especially in North America. A journey where I set off alone, which however allowed me to meet many beautiful traveling souls with whom I shared moments of my life, one above all the meeting with Carlo Taglia, one of the best known travelers and one of the most beautiful souls known on the road.

What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
Mainly I try to avoid plastic, I take two thermal water bottles with one liter with me, Even if it was not easy to find drinking water around especially in Africa. To load the electronic material, I take a sun battery behind my backpack. I try to collect waste on the beach which I did in Belize, that unfortunately I had to deal with fishermen who threw plastic, paper and other objects at sea without a logical reason from the boat.
And then from more than one 1 year that I don't eat meat and I feed myself much more on legumes, vegetables and what our beloved mother earth offers us. Over time I also decided to make this dietary change and I must say I feel really good about my body and above all it has allowed me to significantly improve my diabetes blood sugar levels..
