Hi everyone, We present ourselves we are the cognatintrip: Matteo, Federica, Iacopo and Francesca, four sisters -in -law, Two twin sisters and their respective companions.
From more than 10 years we go around the world, Discovering places, villages, People and emotions. Over time, emotions and stories have grown, And that's why in September 2016 We decided to open our travel blog.
The intent is to transmit what we have experienced and tried, To those who read us, giving advice and entrying people to travel or even to dream. The main target is represented by travel backpack on the shoulder, always looking for adventure and breathtaking natural places.
Four people and four characters who describe what are very different. Choose a country with your head that has kidnapped your heart, and describe us why!
Matteo I choose Brazil, an immense country both in the territory and in the beauties it offers. Dalla “Wonderful City” Rio de Janeiro, To one of the seven natural wonders the iguazu waterfalls, From the fauna of the Pantanal to the unforgettable sunsets of the Lencois Maranhenses. Every place, Each meeting, Every moment lived in the Carioca country has left me an indelible memory at the bottom of my heart.
I Federica choose the Galapagos, For me, lover of nature and animals, find yourself in this uncontaminated paradise was like daydreaming. See many endemic species up close, that only in the documentaries I had admired, like marine iguanas, giant turtles, The stoys from the blue feet or the rips raised in me a joy that made me come back child.
I iacopo I choose Indonesia, An incredible journey where we lived a series of unforgettable experiences, from the close encounter with a bear and with orange, to have lived four days on a boat in the middle of the Borneo surrounded by crocodiles; Known the Komodo dragons and assisted to the phenomenon of blue flames in the kawah ijen volcano crater, and these just to name a few.
I Francesca choose Kenya. I have been there twice and every time I came back I tried that famous "Africa Mal". It kidnapped my heart mainly for two reasons, The first because for me the experience of Safari is among the most beautiful in the world, Being immersed in the savannah to observe animals is an indescribable joy. The second because this country always teaches me a lesson, you can always be happy, even when you don't have anything.
An object with head that you always take in your suitcase and you cannot do without?
Matteo: The object I chose is my inseparable Lonely Planet guide. Without that we don't even start. As a true organizer for me it is an indispensable tool for programming, first and during each of our trips.
Federica: I can't do without my backpack, from which like Mery Poppins I can pull out useful and fundamental unthinkable objects on the spot. Having my backpack on the shoulders arouses a sense of freedom and independence that has no equal.
Iacopo: What must never be missing during my travels is the camera, passion born precisely by traveling and to which I would no longer know how to give up. I love looking for the perfect shot!
Francesca: It may seem strange and not as a "true traveler" but for me it is of extreme importance; I suffer from light sleep and it has happened to us practically everywhere, In the most bizarre places, So if I don't always have caps and masks with me, sleep can become a problem.
What do you do to make your travels more ecological?
Respect the surrounding environment I think is one of the fundamental cornerstones of our world view, which obviously also report during our travels.
Unfortunately, like most travelers, we move by plane, And this certainly does not positively affect our zero impact conduct.
When we are traveling, however, we try to limit waste to the maximum, preferring movements on foot instead of polluting means.
We always prefer to eat and stay overnight at restaurants and accommodation of the premises at the expense of the great giants of mass tourism.
We always bring our super bottles with us, eliminating the use of plastic to the maximum.
Lately we have also contributed to the reforestation of some locations in Costa Rica, purchasing a native tree.
Obviously our goal is to do something more every day while respecting nature.
