My name is Chiara, I was born in Caserta but from 2013 I live in Paris. I decided to emigrate abroad to work in biomedical research, But later for me the expatriation became a lifestyle rather than a choice purely linked to the professional sphere.
I have multiple passions, including travel, music and writing. My Expat experience pushed me, over time, to tell it from various points of view, which is why from 2019 I collaborate with the Choral Blog Women who emigrate abroad.
During the first Lockdown of the 2020, Thanks to the isolation and the desire to react to me, I decided to expand my passion for writing on the web by designing and creating Chiara in progress, My personal blog.
Describe Paris in a book, Song and Movies!
A book would definitely be Hemingway mobile party, whose title describes Paris to perfection. A song, “Paris” of the après the class, because it speaks of Paris as a hectic city, magica, rich in history and music. And even more beautiful in the morning. Well yes, Paris is exactly like that!
A movie, And maybe I will be trivial, it would be the Fabulous world of Amélie, One of the first films that made me a child to dream of Paris.
Among the expats there are often people who constantly lack Italy and others who would not return for any reason to the world. What a relationship you have now with Italy and what you think you have acquired leaving it?
I have a love-hatred relationship with Italy. I appreciate it and do not deny my origins, But I don't think I would be able to live there after so many years abroad.
Leaving Italy to follow new horizons, I think first of all I have acquired greater maturity and self -esteem. I then exceeded limits that I believed insurmountable, I have improved my linguistic skills but above all to report myself, interfacciandomi con culture, customs and ways of doing very different from Italian ones.
I understood that the world is a real melting pot of cultures and characters and a work in progress in continuous becoming, which I probably never understood while always remaining in the same place, surrounded by the same people.
Among your travels, which country you loved the most and why?
Very difficult question, because each of my travels always leaves me something! Among all, I think I have a particular link with Spain, one of the countries that I feel closest to my being. On the other hand, I try a very strong attraction for the countries of northern Europe, in particular for their uncontaminated landscapes and the sense of peace and communion with the nature they transmit.

What do you think of this project and in general, Do you think it is important to search for a more sustainable lifestyle?
I find this project really interesting and, more generally, I believe it is very important to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle, even starting from very small gestures.
Climate change are an undeniable reality, And it is our duty to take care of our planet daily, without waiting for a catastrophic event to definitively change its fate.
If we are truly citizens of the world, We must first of all respect and treat well this world that hosts us and that, delicately, wait to be explored!
