YOUR BLOG HAS SEEN DIFFERENT PHASES AND IS NOW FOCUSING ON SOME PARTICULAR GOALS. HOW EVER THESE DESTINATIONS?

Identifying destinations on which to dedicate myself was a choice born from the desire to develop a blog that was different “generalist” but rather niche. For Liguria it was simple since I live in the province of Alessandria, about ten kilometers from the border between Piedmont and the province of Genoa. Furthermore, in recent years I have “took possession” of the apartment my uncle had on the Riviera (in Cogoleto, town located between Arenzano and Varazze) and so it became my base for exploring the region.

For Scotland and Spain the situation is similar, as I took language courses in Edinburgh and Madrid and therefore fell in love with these two countries. Among other things, I subsequently returned to Madrid to attend a Digital Marketing course and this allowed me to get to know the city even better.

Another destination I've been working on lately is Austria, more specifically Tyrol, because it is the place where for years I went on summer holidays with my parents and therefore, after some time, I returned so I could blog about those places I had been as a child.

BESIDES TRAVEL, WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST PASSIONS?

Definitely read, In fact, I love historical novels, adventure stories and obviously travel diaries. I listen to a lot of music, ranging from 70s-80s-90s rock to pop and electronics, I also played drums for more than 10 years. I also love walking, especially on the beach or hiking in the mountains.

Cathedrals Beach, Galicia (Spain)

HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN A TRIP THAT PROVED TO BE A DISASTER?

Fortunately not, also because I believe that from every experience – even the worst – you can learn and know something positive. I have certainly happened to visit specific locations or places that have deceived my expectations, I am thinking for example of Brussels, but anyway I always found something that made the trip memorable in the end. Let's say that, more generally, knowing my interests it is very difficult for me to opt for destinations that are not exactly in line with them.

What do you do to make your travels more ecological?

The main feature of each of my trips is to rely on local public transport, therefore moving only by bus and/or train. I consider it the ideal way to mix with the locals and thus experience a moment of their everyday life, while avoiding having to rent a car (and the resulting consumption) just for me. We also live in the digital age and therefore I reduce the use of paper to a minimum.

Therefore, everything related to tickets, imbarco map, hotel reservations and similar download directly to your mobile phone. I only take the essential things with me, so that your hand luggage is as light as possible. Furthermore, when there is the possibility I like to order food via a special app which serves to reduce food waste which unfortunately is produced daily by shops and supermarkets. Every time I am impressed because, with a cost of just a few euros, I receive products and dishes for two or three meals.
