ANDREA
Life as a web designer

Sometimes things start a little unexpectedly, as in this case from an announcement on Facebook. That's how it is Andrea Gullo begins his journey into the world of the Internet first, and in Web Design soon after.

Hi Andrea, Welcome to Easy Travel hosting! Could you tell us a little about yourself and how you approached the world of the Internet and subsequently web design?

Ciao, Thank you very much for the invitation! It's a good question..

I approached this fantastic world in 2017 on an August afternoon.
I was browsing Facebook and a Google advertisement appeared on my feed: it was a free course on Digital Marketing, since that moment I have never stopped to delve deeper into this immense digital world.

At that time I was doing an apprenticeship as a surveyor in a technical office which I later left, The more I discovered new things the more I was passionate about this world.

After a couple of years I was passionate about websites, to be precise to create user experience.

I realized I wanted to do the job I do now when I started a short experience in a food start-up, I identified several critical points on their website.

From there I started studying the user experience. Now I'm here that I build brand online.

Often these acronyms are read when it comes to the construction of websites: Ux / ui. Maybe for non -professionals the meaning still remains a mystery. You could explain it to us?

They are the acronyms that are often used without knowing its true meaning. So..

UX sta per “user experience”, that is, the structural part that any project has. In a nutshell, the user's interactive experience while browsing a website.

UI sta per “user interface”, that is, the aesthetic part (colors, entire images and fonts) of any digital project.

When a client commissions you for a site, it's difficult to make people understand how much work goes into it and how important it is to have a well-defined project and not change your mind in the middle of the project?

This is an important topic, because many people don't understand the real work behind it.

They believe that creating a website is just posting 2 words and 2 Images, maybe grainy, to launch a project online as quickly as possible.

Exactly about this, in the last period, I'm creating new articles to change this mentality.
In the end, I believe that to create a sustainable brand over time it is important to identify the true identity values and build an optimal user experience.

Let's change the subject completely: next trip?

Eh.. next trip..?

Now in this period of pandemic it is difficult to travel calmly and respecting others. If there wasn't the pandemic, Andrew of Bali.
But there are many other places I would like to visit and explore.

I hope to be able to travel soon!

As Easy Travel Hosting will know, use renewable and eco-sustainable energy to power your servers. A tree is also planted for each new hosting, actively helping the reforestation and absorption of CO2. What do you think of this project and in general, Do you think it is important to search for a more sustainable lifestyle?

First of all, I am happy that these services are being created that bring concrete help to our planet.
I think there should be more services that aim for sustainability, to make people more responsible for the environment.

Many don't care about what's around us. It's a shame.

One of my next goals is to increasingly support eco-sustainable brands, in spreading their message like yours.
That's why I started this collaboration with you.
