I started working like wedding planner quasi 10 years ago. The organization is one of my main qualities and why not apply it to a sector that has always fascinated me?
In the meantime, a new awareness of the environment has arrived and I concentrated on sustainable marriages and on the raising awareness of couples. Those who entrust me to me have a "normal" wedding only that suppliers are almost all attentive to our planet.

Precisely due to the poor awareness, it is often thought that participations printed on recycled paper or the reuse of the fittings for the ceremony and for the preparation to adopt green precautions. These are just some very small steps for a sustainable wedding.
Instead, you must pay close attention to the origin of the raw materials of the catering or restaurant that has been chosen, the disposal of waste and leftovers. Another thing to be careful are the travel of the guests and the origin of the floral fittings: km and km away are not always the best solutions!
When a married couple asks me to organize an eco -sustainable wedding we analyze first where it will take place and where the guests come from. Move 100 people from multiple regions is the least eco -sustainable we can do. For everything else you can find local suppliers with local supply or KM0.
In the organization of a sustainable marriage I put in the first place 3 things:
Respect for seasonality: Food and flowers must be in the season. For example, out of season flowers have a very high impact on our environment: In fact, what does not arrive locally is cultivated in other countries and to reach us it uses means and energy, polluting. The global market has expanded the borders but at the same time made everything available and always reducing expectations and amazement.
Location that respect the environment and ethical ways of working. A more natural way of working exists. Work often remotely, And I ask my spouses to concentrate efforts and energy to go to view only places that really interest us. There are still few locations that have had the opportunity to adapt and be 100% ecological. The reasons are many and I don't go into the merits. But instead there are many structures that select biodegradable products and respectful of nature, who have equipped themselves with more sustainable work methodologies.
Give the objects a second life: Use things that the spouses have at home for the wedding day fittings or reuse the materials that suppliers have in stock. I think it is useful to reuse things that no longer need someone else. You can search dishes and glasses at the market and create sets of dishes that once the wedding is finished can become gifts for witnesses.

On the wedding day, the couple has the opportunity to transfer their values to guests making them more aware and therefore why not apply the principles of sustainability on this day too?
I'm not an extremist, I do not bring everything back to the green perspective which unfortunately to date is not yet applicable to 100% but I try to direct the spouses towards responsible and ethical choices, without waste and to encourage the economy of our country.
During weddings, many resources are wasted, Above all food and fittings that will then end up in the basket. A sustainable marriage is made by suppliers who have chosen to reduce the waste to the maximum and who undertake to reuse.

1. Start from the location and fix an inspection with the wedding planner. By putting your wishes and the expert eye of the wedding planner together you can organize a wedding that reflects you. Evaluate the lighting, the spaces, What is included, What can you use. A location is echo not only for the precautions used as photovoltaic panels, Differentiated waste collection, but even if he manages to apply reuse and self -production.
2. Sustainability is also a choice of catering that use raw materials and that use processing processes that reduce waste. Always ask that I will make the advanced food and propose to deliver it to a canteen or to those who need it more!
3. Apply the concept of sustainability to all accessories: fiori, graphic coordinated, favors, Dresses everything can be made sustainable! For example, you learn guests not to buy new clothes, spronals to use what they have in the closet! And the graphic coordinate? Reduce the paper supports (For these use sowable or recycled paper), Collect ribbons and ribes to close favors and participations (You can deliver them to those who will take care of it, If you don't do it firsthand), Ask a calligrafa to write on surfaces on the location.
To make the phase of the choice of sustainable suppliers on my blog easier I created the "Green Vendors" section: A selection of marriage suppliers looking at sustainability, to the reuse and precautions to make your wedding more green, eco-friendly and low impact.
I am a passionate reader of tea and herbal teas, flowers and plants, I love to travel, immerse myself in nature and thus find serenity, Discover new places and see its potential. I like to create connections between people, among suppliers and couples.
My values are transparency, naturalness (In all its exceptions), concreteness.
For this reason, the information exchange process with my spouses is extremely organized. I find it useful to share everything on a platform where you can find pdf guides for each step to take, the contracts, a space where you can ask for information, Check the appointments taken, keep track of the budget.
This somewhat technological method allows you to keep track of everything and to be able to concentrate on critical issues. But it also allows us to limit movements and emails to the maximum to limit this form of impact on our planet. It is the method that allowed me to be able to deal with foreign couples: It is a must to work online and keep track of the appointments that I carry out in their place.

I have structured my activity for degrees and over the years thanks to training courses not only in the wedding sector but also transversal. The main difficulty was to organize the workflow in the most congenial way possible to committed couples and which are often found on the other side of the ocean.
Finding reliable and collaborating suppliers was not difficult, I met people available to comparison even when the sustainable perspective was not yet remotely in their thoughts.
I am happy to have found you and I have entrusted you to the hosting space of my site: Even the "technological" part of our work must be somehow compensated despite the fact that they do not pollute!
I really appreciate the initiative relating to the trees and the groom in full: I also cry a tree for each wedding organized to compensate for the CO2 issued during the planning work. Seeking a sustainable lifestyle today is a priority.
There is a lot that each of us can make small habits everyday habits: I think the most important step towards a sustainable style of view is to limit the production of waste to the maximum.
